This is to formally submit to Orison Charitable Trust the report of activities during the month of Muharram, 1441 which was commemorated in 6 different Shia Communities, to wit; 1. Zamboanga City, 2. Lamitan City, Basilan Province, 3. Marawi City, 4. Pagadian City, 5. Bulacan, and 6. Metro Manila
It was noted that last 11th of September, 2019 Orison Charitable Trust has extended financial support to conduct Muharram activities in honor of the tragedy of Imam Hussein a.s and his family in the land of Karbala – specifically, OCT has extended an amount of £1,500 or equivalent to 94,275 Php which was distributed to 6 identified Shia Communities in the Philippines.
In behalf of the Shia Communities in the Philippines most particularly the 6 identified areas, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude and sincere honor to Orison Charitable trust for their continuous and utmost support and assistance to the Shia communities in the Philippines.
Lastly, we pray that OCT will continue to support us in the best way that benefits the community as a whole, and that we be able to materialize the vision of a more inclusive and develop Shia communities in the Philippines.

PICTURES OF ACTIVITIES
1. ZAMBOANGA CITY, PHILIPPINES
Madrasa Imam Jawad a.s conducted five days of Majalis during Muharram, to include the day of Ashura – the Madrasa is under the supervision of Ustadz Mujtaba – with Colleague Ustadz Mohammad Jaidi and Ustadz Munir Gandawan. More or Less around 50 to 60 Shia Individuals actively spent their quality time during the 5 days Majalis.
2. LAMITAN CITY, BASILAN PROVINCE
Madrasa Zahra in Lamitan City, conducted a two (2) day Muharram Activities, aside from lecture by Sheik Alfath Dalundong, student in one of the hawza in Lebanon – the teachers of Madrasa Zahra held a program wherein their students were tasked to perform; Nasheed, Drawing with Interpretation and Poem – Alhamdulillah each group participants received a reward especially the children.
3. MARAWI CITY – MASJID KARBALA
Masjid Karbala thrive thru this city even with the present of ISIS especially during the Marawi Siege last 2016 – due to the persistent effort of Ustadz Kamil Unda (Leading the Prayer) Shia communities were able to conduct Muharram Activity with the presence of Sheik Mastura and other former Students of Al-Mustafa University. Alhamdulillah through the assistance of OCT they were able to conduct such momentous event.
4. PAGADIAN CITY
Muharram Program conducted at the residence of Ustadz Lapasaran – they had a two day Muharram Program – 9th and 10th of Muharram.
5. ISLAMIC CENTER – BULACAN
#TUGONS a Shia Women’s Organization based in Bulacan has done tremendous effort for Imam Hussein a.s, aside from the 12 night straight Muharram Majalis with Sheik Zackaria they also conducted an outreach activity within the vicinity of the Islamic Center, where Non-Muslims were given free Blood Pressure Check-Up, Games for Children and Gifts – and they were also shown documentary films more on Reverts to Islam. Alhamdulillah – the only Muslim Center who opened their doors to Non-Muslims in that area – a good sight of example to represent Islam to the Community of Christians.
6. METRO MANILA (ASMOP)
Association of Shia Muslims in the Philippines spearheaded by br. Nur and Br. Ceasar –aside from Ashura Majlis – they opt to spend their quality time at the Philippine General Hospital and gave food packs and water to the patients. Alhamdulillah – a good way to introduce Imam Hussein a.s to the general public in Metro Manila.
