Construction work of Masajid in Bangladesh

“Only those shall maintain Allah’s mosques who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and maintain the prayer and give the zakat, and fear no one except Allah. They, hopefully, will be among the guided”. (9:18)

Imam Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq (as) said: “He who builds a mosque, Allah will order a house to be built from him in Paradise”. (Al-Kaafi)

There are many Masajid & Imambargahs in different rural areas of Bangladesh that require completion of construction work. The main requirements are: Toilets, WazuKhana, Verandas, Water supply, floor & wall plastering and tiles.

In some places land has been made available by some local well-wishers and full construction of Masajid and/or Imambargah is required. In February 2011 OCT officials once again visited Bangladesh. Br Yusuf Yusufali of CAI (Comfort Aid International) also accompanied the delegation and very kindly availed a willing Donor to undertake the completion of five Masajid in the South East areas of Khulna.

Below are the photographs of work in progress at two places: Patkhelghata & Angra in Bogra district. On completion, work in the other three areas will begin InshaAllah. The construction works are being supervised in person by Maulana Syed Ibrahim Khalili and Br Mohamed Iqbal of the Islamic Centre, Khulna.

OCT expresses its sincere gratitude to Br Yusuf Yusufali for his noble efforts in this project. May Allah, the Almighty reward him abundantly in the Daarayn –ilaahi aamin.
